There are three Stone ancestral lines represented in this archive. The first two are gathered in the Ancestry tree "Stone-Rhodes All Related," maintained under the identity of John C. Stone II. The Yarcombe line is a separate tree, not yet connected to the Chipstable Stones — though a link seems likely, given how closely the families lived for generations.

Where trees on Ancestry connect these lines in error, corrective documentation is often available in this archive — for example, the correct name of Joseph Stone's first wife (Eliza Jane Boner/Bonner, not "Bond"), and the fact that neither Captain Stone was ever named "Captain William." Ancestry members are welcome to refer to these pages rather than trade repetitive notes.
